The fierce blazing of the Namibian sky portrays the endless landscapes as a stupendously interactive photograph defining a panorama of breathtaking views, freely grazing wild animals, mysterious towns and a paradise for meat lovers. This two weeks road trip is going to answer that question and will definitely transport you into an era of astonishing adventure.

Day 1: Arrival at Windhoek

After flying into Hosea Kutako International Airport at Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia, you will be driven to a resort. Namibia will welcome you with warmth, hospitality and scenic views of the desert on the way. You’ll be provided accommodation at a comfortable lodge to take some rest. Then we’ll kick-start our expedition in Namibia by indulging in some of the exquisitely scrumptious dishes during our dinner at night at one of the best-graded restaurants. 

Day 2: Wonderful Windhoek

After morning breakfast you’ll meet your guide and driver who’ll take you to explore the best spots in the city that’ll mesmerize you with proliferation of German-style establishments and other attractions. We are going to visit the National Museum of Namibia, German Christian Church, etc along with a stopover in our first game drive of this trip at Okapuka-Ranch. This place is known for wild animals like Giraffes, Cheetahs, Rhinos and Pumbas roaming on the open lawns.

Day 3: Otjiwa Campsites

Now it’s time to begin our driving journey armed with a strong 4X4 camping vehicle to our first destination, the outstanding Otjiwa Campsites. After a moderate 250 kilometers drive of 2.5 hours, we’ll enter into the Waterberg Region of Namibia where you’ll stay in a tent mounted on the camping vehicle. The Otjiwa Night Game Drive offers the opportunity to witness a treasure trove of wildlife that flaunts 25 game species including roan antelope, white rhinoceros, sable antelope, and so on.

Day 4: Etosha National Park

Our next destination lies about 300 kilometers away and we are going to reach there by driving for nearly 3:30 hours. The popular Etosha National Park is considered to be the epitome of wildlife culture and scenic landscapes where you are likely to spot black rhinoceros, elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras, etc. We are going to stay at a campsite that boasts a massive wildlife watching platform over the Moringa Waterhole.

Day 5: Etosha South

We’ll migrate towards the southern corner of the renowned Etosha National Park to enjoy our abode at Okaukuejo region and relish the thrill of wildlife at its best! The grandeur of sunset over the horizon of the fascinating terrain of Etosha is one of the best memory memorabilia to take away from Namibia. 

Day 6: Momentous Opuwa

A long and exciting drive of 450 kilometers will take us to the land of a timeless and traditional Himba tribe. History of the Himba community on the lap of majestic Makalani Palms at Palmfontein provides you a lifetime opportunity to know about their eccentric customs and intriguing survival strategies along with a guide during the excursion. 

Day 7: Drop-dead Damaraland

To have a memorable rendezvous with electrifying wonders of nature, we will visit Damaraland after a drive of about 5 hours from Opuwo. It’s a precious chance to witness and learn about the Damara way of living that’s on the way to its extinction. Additionally, our stay at a camp offers you exciting activities such as elephant tracking, guided village walk, and mind blowing Sundowner drive to enjoy spectacular views of the dunes, African sunset and gorgeous rock formations in Damaraland. 

Day 8-9: Scintillating Swakopmund

The ultimate paradise of adventure, enchanting German colonial history, and extremely delectable food are waiting for us just 280 kilometers away at Swakopmund. Also, on the way to Swakopmund, we’ll pass a visible shipwreck, Zeila and enjoy an ethereal surroundings. Camping at the Tiger Reef Campsite is one-of-its-kind experience to make you relax on this hectic trip. The major activities to dive into in Swakopmund includes Mola Mola Marine Dolphin Cruise, Skydiving over the Namib Desert, Paragliding down massive sand dunes, and desert tours.

Day 10-11: Stunning Sossuvlei 

Sossusvlei is undoubtedly the highlight of our trip. The heavenly topography of orange sand dunes stretching towards the vibrant blue sky and a walk amongst 900-year-old fossilized Acacia trees over the world’s oldest desert, the Namib is an absolute natural extravaganza in itself. We’ll come across a popular photography halt at the Tropic of Capricorn and then check into a resort followed by a hike to towering sand dunes of Dune 45 & Deadvlei as well as an open-door helicopter ride over the Namib desert.

Day 12: Awestruck Aus

After settling ourselves in a campsite at Aus, we’ll move out to explore the mysterious Ghost Town at Kolmanskop. It’s a hub of crumbling buildings of a tiny, once-luxurious now abandoned town where diamonds could be picked by hand from the desert. Feral horses galloping in the Namib constitutes the major attraction along with outstanding botanical and culinary marvels of this city.

Day 13: Stampriet

A drive of 500 kilometers will take us to Stampriet, a town over the banks of the Ayoub river displaying Fish River Canyon, Hardap Dam, battle memorials with Germans, and Gross Nabas makes this place the showstopper of our entire exhilarating road trip. A final Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch Afternoon drive is an overwhelming emprise to end our journey with.

Day 14: Back to Windhoek

The straight, tarred road back to the capital, Windhoek covers a distance of about 270 kilometers. You can spend the day relaxing, buying souvenirs for the near & dear ones, try out some mouthwatering traditional delicacies at authentic eateries and prepare yourself to reach the airport to catch the flight with a heart-aching goodbye smile and oodles of unforgettable reminiscences of your trip in Namibia.
